The Emeritus Faculty Organization (EFO) is a subsidiary of the SIU Emeritus and Annuitants (SEAA) Association. Membership is open to all members of SEAA who have held faculty rank at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Our purpose is to facilitate continuing academic ties to SIUC and to promote the welfare of the University.

EFO meets twice a year for a brief business meeting at which a guest speaker will make a presentation. EFO organizes the annual Emeritus Faculty Lecture. We also appoint emeritus representatives to the Graduate Council and Faculty Senate.
