About Us

We are a club for people who want to learn to skydive and active skydivers to socialize; organize transportation to the dropzone, plan club events and trips, and other skydiving related events and topics. The club has been around since 1963. Back then, skydivers would fly over the field between the dorms and the recreation center and jump into the field for exhibitions. They even did some exhibition jumps into the football stadium during half time at the games. This club carries on the legacy of past members. We are based in the Southern Illinois Region, at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The club jumps in Cairo, Illinois at the Cairo Regional Airport with SEMO Skydiving. We are a Registered Student Organization and a Sport Club at SIUC. The skydiving club is one of the largest RSO's on campus!
