Dr. John Preece - Horticulture,Propagation, and Biotechnology
-- Shoot Forcing: Sections are cut from large branches and placed
horizontally on flats filled with perlite, producing softwood shoots
for cuttings or tissue culture.
-- Woody plant tissue culture: Micro-propogation protocols for adult
Eastern Black Walnut (Juglans nigra), Oakleaf Hydrangea (Hydrangea
quercifolia) and Hibiscus.
-- Seed dormancy of White Ash: Study of various techniques to overcome
dormancy of seeds of green and white ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanicu and
americuna).
