SIUC Outstanding Scholars (University-Level)
Southern Illinois University Carbondale instituted the Outstanding Scholar Award in 1985 to recognize exceptional achievement in research, scholarship, and creative activity. Awardees carry the title of Distinguished Scholar. This award is coordinated by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Dean, which solicits nominations each fall semester.
The nomination deadline for the 2008 award has passed. Look for the 2009 award deadline in late September or early October 2008. The call for nominations and nomination guidelines will be posted in early fall semester 2008.
