TRM courses are taught by qualified faculty, and classes range in size from 20 to 35 students.
Students work with an advisor to choose approved advanced electives that fit their career objectives. For example, a student with an AAS in construction who is interested in real estate development could take courses in real estate principles, appraisal, and law. A student with an AAS in auto body repair could study insurance and finance to prepare for a career as an accident estimator and adjuster. With courses in over 100 disciplines, a student can design a program that best fits his or her career goals.

University Core Curriculum (UCC)
All students are required to satisfy UCC requirements. The UCC consists of 41 semester hours of courses in disciplines designed to prepare students to be engaged citizens. Eligible students may choose the Capstone Option, which reduces UCC to 30 semester hours.
UCC courses and descriptions are available in the University catalog or online at:

For students who transfer to SIUC, UCC requirements are satisfied with
an Associate in Arts (AA) or an Associate in Science (AS) that has
been granted by an Illinois community college (out-of-state transfers
may not be guaranteed).
