Who is eligible for the
Services of the SIUC Community Dental Center?
Any resident of Southern Illinois
who is currently a Medicaid recipient, or low income resident
who earns less than 150% of federal poverty level and doesn't
have dental insurance. For example a family of four, earning less
than $27,000.
What services does the SIUC Community Dental Center Provide?
For children, preventive services
such as cleanings, x-rays, checkups, sealants, and topical fluoride
treatments, as well as fillings and prosthetics, are available.
Adult services include exams,
x-rays, restorative, and prosthetic work.
Referrals will be made for extensive
dental services.
Who provides these services for the SIUC Community
Dental Center patients?
The patients receive care from
SIUC fourth-year dental hygiene students, dental technology students,
faculty dentists and volunteer dentists from our region.
Patients are seen by Appointment ONLY!
Fall Clinic hours are Monday 8-9 p.m., Tuesday 8-12,
Wednesday 8-5 p.m and Thursday 8-12 p.m.
Appointments may be made by calling 618-453-2353.
Failure to appear for an appointment
without prior notification will result in termination from participation
in the SIUC Community Dental Clinic.
