Accounting Services

Accounting Services coordinates on a system-wide basis those activities necessary to prepare the University's Annual Financial Report and the Treasurer's Report to the Bondholders. In addition, Accounting Services is responsible for the administration of the compliance and financial aspects of grants and contracts and fixed assets.

Accounts Payable

The Accounts Payable office processes accounts payable transactions, travel vouchers for employees and payments to or on behalf of non-resident aliens.

 
 

Administrative
Information Systems (AIS)

Administrative Information Systems manages the University-wide computer applications for Administrative Financial software and for the SIUC/SOM Human Resource and Payroll software. Assists the campuses in use of the software applications. Maintains the software applications to include resolving operational and usage problems and upgrading to new / enhanced functionality.  
 

Bursar

The Office of the Bursar is committed to excellence in providing financial services to students and the Southern Illinois University community.Our mission is to provide these services in the most efficient, friendly, effective and customer-oriented fashion possible.  
 

Human Resources

Human Resources includes, among its principle functions, civil service recruitment, testing, classification and placement; administrative/professional classification; salary, wage, and employee benefit administration; staff training and development; administration of the Employee's Assistance Program; and maintenance of official personnel records.  
 

Information Technology

Information Technology serves the campus academic and administrative needs for computational, telecommunications, and information management resources. Units within Information Technology support centralized and distributed computing environments, the campus data networking SIUNet, computer learning centers and technology classrooms, the campus voice network (Telephone Services), records management (Micrographics) and a customer service center.  
 

Labor & Employee Relations

Labor Relations supervises union contract negotiation and contract administration, oversight of grievance resolution for civil service employees, and administration of the disciplinary action program for civil service employees.  
 

Payroll

The Payroll Office is charged with the responsibility of collecting, assembling, verifying, and preparing payrolls for all faculty, staff, and part-time student workers on campus.  
 

Purchasing

Purchasing performs all purchasing activities and administers the surplus property program. The Director of Purchasing provides leadership and functional guidance to the offices of Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
