You can reach Carbondale…….
I. Via Air
A- Fly to Williamson County Regional Airport, Marion Illinois, which is 10 miles east of Carbondale. http://www.wilcoairport.com/schedule.shtml. Let us know and we will pick you up.
or
B- Fly to St-Louis Lambert Airport. From there, take the ground transportation, BART. BART need to be booked in advance either by calling 1-800-284-2278 or by booking on the internet: www.bartshuttle.com. There is a two-hour drive from St-Louis Lambert Airport to Carbondale. One way fare is approximately $55.
II. Via Amtrak
There are two trains from Chicago to Carbondale. Train # 391 departs Chicago at 4:05 PM and arrives Carbondale at 9:35PM everyday. Second train, #59 departs Chicago at 8:00 PM and arrives Carbondale at 1:21AM. The return trains are: #392 leaves Carbondale at 4:05 PM arrives Chicago 9:35 PM and #58 leaves Carbondale at 3:16AM and arrives Chicago at 9:00AM. If you book in advance on internet fares are really cheap. We will pick you from the train station.
III. Drive to Carbondale:
From St Louis Airport: (~ 115 miles) Take I-70 East towards downtown. From I-70 take exit 250A for Illinois, for I- 64 East. Stay on the right lane after crossing the Mississippi river. Take I-64 East and drive 50 miles (after crossing the River). Take Exit 50, for IL-127 South, for Nashville, Illinois. Follow IL-127 to Murphysboro and take IL-13 East for Carbondale. This is a left turn from Il-127. Remain on IL-13 East through Carbondale. IL-13 will become a three lane one-way street. You will see University Mall on your right. After the Mall turn right on to Giant City Road. McDonald’s is on your left at this traffic light. The Ramada Inn is on the left. For the Best Inns, after turning on to Giant city road take immediate right on Mall Frontage road and Best Inns of America is on the left side.
From Indianapolis:(~ 260 miles) Take I-70 West (~140m). From I-70 take I-57south . Drive around 110 miles and take Exit 54B for Carbondale, IL -13 West. Drive 14 miles and you are in Carbondale. As you enter Carbondale, Super Wal-Mart is on your right. Take a left at this traffic light and you are on Giant City Road. Ramada Limited is on your left. For the Best Inns, after turning on to Giant city road take immediate right on Mall Frontage road and Best Inns of America is on the left side.
From Chicago, (~350 miles) take I-57 South. From I-57 South take Exit #54B for Carbondale, Il-13 West. Drive 14 miles and you are in Carbondale. As you enter Carbondale, Super Wal-Mart is on your right. Take a left at this traffic light and you are on Giant City Road. Ramada Limited is on your left. For the Best Inns, after turning on to Giant city road take immediate right on Mall Frontage road and Best Inns of America is on the left side.
From Nashville, Tennessee: (~206 miles) Take I-24 West and Drive approximately 176 miles. I-24 ends in I-57. Take I-57 North. From I-57 North take Exit #54B for Carbondale, IL-13 West. Drive 14 miles and you are in Carbondale. As you enter Carbondale, Super Wal-Mart is on your right. Take a left at this traffic light and you are on Giant City Road. Ramada Limited is on your left. For the Best Inns, after turning on to Giant city road take immediate right on Mall Frontage road and Best Inns of America is on the left side.
