The University's Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program was
instituted in 1998 following several years of development efforts by
interested faculty. A WAC task force, composed of faculty from across
campus, was formed in 2003 to guide continued development of the
program. WAC became CAC (Communication Across the Curriculum) based
on the recommendation of the Task Force that communication other than
writing should also be a focus of the program.
