Tuition Payments

Tuition payments will be collected at the beginning of each registration and on the first day of each new course. Make your check or money order payable to SIUC and remit to your Program Advisor. To ensure that your account is properly credited, please do not mail your payment(s) to the main campus.

Transcripts

If you have attended other colleges, you are required to submit official transcripts to the Program Advisor at the mailing address listed above. Transcripts are not considered to be “official” if they are sent directly to you.

Classroom

Classes are normally held in Building C, Room C186, on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. The program is offered in a "flip-flop" format, which allows active duty firefighters the flexibility to attend classes while working. Based upon your schedule, you may attend either the Saturday or Sunday class.

Class Attendance

Class attendance is of the utmost importance. Each day is divided into two class sessions: morning and afternoon. Be sure to sign the attendance sheet at each session. If you must miss a portion of any class session, it is imperative that you let your instructor know ahead of time. It is up to you to make arrangements to obtain information/material you missed while away.

Drops

If you need to drop a class, it is essential that you inform the Program Advisor immediately. If an emergency arises, leave a voicemail message at (618) 482-6933. If you fail to inform the Program Advisor of your intent to drop, you will be responsible for payment of that class. You have until the Friday before the second weekend of class to drop without financial obligation.
