Cherry Point/Havelock, North Carolina This letter is to provide administrative and personal information to you in conjunction with your instructional assignments here at Cherry Point. We offer the Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management and Electronic Systems Technologies with a specialization in Electronics Management. THERE ARE NO PROVISIONS FOR USE OF A COPIER. All instructors are responsible for copying course materials prior to class. “THE SIU OFFICE IS NOT OPEN TO INSTRUCTORS ON THE WEEKENDS”. PLEASE FORWARD YOUR SYLLABUS AT LEAST SIX (6) WEEKS PRIOR TO CLASS BEGINNING DATE to Pat Phillips (patp@siu.edu) in the OCAP office for duplication and also email a copy of the syllabus to the Cherry Point office as we make both hard and electronic copies available to students. Please make sure your electronic communications are compatible with WORD 6.0. UPS address for this location: SUIC, Bldg.4335, Room 116, Cherry Point, NC 28533. Hotel reservations are made at the Hampton Inn on Highway 70(east), Havelock, 252-447-9400. Friday and Saturday are booked for all three of your teaching weekends. If you plan to arrive after 6pm, the hotel will need a credit card to guarantee your reservation. You can pass that information through this office or contact the hotel directly. There will be and SIU envelope for you when you check in. It will contain: class rosters, information to obtain vehicle security pass, and other information. If you wish to stay at another hotel, you will be responsible to make your own reservations and to please contact our office to cancel your Hampton reservations. The classroom is location at the Training and Education Building 4335. Your student liaison is available to assist you with audio/visual aids, student opinion surveys, maintaining classroom cleanliness, etc. You will have an overhead projector, TV/VCR/DVD (upon request, as well as power point capability. If you have any other special requirements, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. The SIUC Cherry Point Program Advisor will plan to be in class the FIRST and LAST Saturday mornings of your class to make announcements, etc. to students.
