REGINALD & EDNA PETTY COLLECTION OF AFRICAN ART AND QUILTS
Guest Curated by Leo Gadzekpo and Father Brown of SIUC's Black American Studies
program, and Najjar Abdul-Musawwir of SIUC’s School of Art and Design, this exhibit features significant works from sub-Saharan Africa collected by SIUC alumnus, Reginald Petty who worked with the Peace Corps in the 1960s-1970s. Providing a response to this collection are quilts by Edna Petty.
