Debt Finance Specialist

Office of the President

Southern Illinois University invites applicants for the position of Debt Finance Specialist.  The Specialist performs senior staff/professional-level duties that are devoted to debt financing management in the Office of the Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs and Board Treasurer.  Principal duties will be at the Carbondale campus, but occasional travel will be required.

Minimum Qualifications:  Must be familiar with debt financing, treasury and financial management methodology.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is required.  CPA or CTP designation is preferred.  Three years of experience in public accounting, financial management, or banking is preferred.  The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.

This is a security-sensitive position.  A pre-employment background investigation, including a criminal background and credit check, is required.

Starting Salary:  Salary is competitive

Desired Start Date:  December 1, 2008
