Assistant Scientist (Nanotechnology/Tribology/Lithography)

Position: Assistant Scientist. We seek to fill two assistant scientist
positions.
Qualifications: A Ph.D degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field, is required at the time of hire. Applicants who do not hold a Ph.D at the time of interview are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must have expertise in one or more fields: nanolithography tools (including photolithography, mask patterning, electron and focused-ion beam etc., SEM/TEM), nano-tribology and nano-lubrication studies, self-assembled nanostructures, alternative energy applications, and device physics. Experience in the synthesis of nanotubes/nanowires, self-assembled nanostructures, thin film growth and characterization preferred.
Responsibilities: The scientists will conduct research in a highly multidisciplinary research that provides a unique opportunity to develop novel research ideas. The person will work closely with chemists, physicists, and engineers on the design, fabrication and characterization of nanolithography, lubrication, devices for alternative energy-related, and tribology applications.
