Lecturer (Saxophone)
School of Music
Title of Position/Rank: Term Lecturer (Saxophone) in the School of Music.
Qualifications: Masters degree in music and relevant college/university teaching experience. Doctorate preferred. Experience playing both classical and jazz styles preferred.
Duties: Teach and recruit saxophone students; assist with jazz band; teach music appreciation and/or music theory.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and rank
Effective Date of Appointment: August 16, 2008

The School of Music offers the professional degrees Bachelor of Music with
specializations in performance, piano pedagogy, theory/composition, and music
education as well as a Bachelor of Arts with specializations in music business,
music theater, and liberal arts. A Master of Music degree is offered with
concentrations in performance, piano pedagogy, opera/musical theater,
theory/composition, music history/literature and music education. The School has
an active performance schedule by artist/faculty and students. The School has 28
full-time faculty and two technicians with an enrollment of approximately 40
graduate students and 200 undergraduate students.
