Assistant Professor
Department of Sociology

Title of Position/Rank: Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology

Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Sociology, or be completed with the PhD by the start date. Research specializations in one or more of the following areas may be given preference: Crime, Law and Deviance, Race and Ethnicity, or Social Movements. Sociology is a PhD granting research-oriented department.

Duties: A successful candidate must have the ability to teach contemporary and classical theory at the graduate level and undergraduate level.

Effective Date of Appointment: August 16, 2009
