Lecturer (Variable Time)

Title of Position: Term (variable percentage) faculty member in the Department of Sociology

Rank:  Lecturer (non-tenure track)

Qualifications:  Minimum requirements for the position are an MA/MS degree, experience teaching sociology at the University level, and familiarity with the sociology curriculum at SIUC.

Duties:  The successful candidate will be required to teach a 2-3 teaching load and to advise approximately 60 undergraduate majors and 150-200 minors. Additional duties include sociology club advisement, and participation in the Undergraduate Committee.

Effective date of appointment:  August 16, 2008.
