Instructor/Lecturer (Variable-time) (Health Education)
Department of Health Education and Recreation

Description of Position: The Department of Health Education and Recreation seeks to hire term instructors, variable percent of time, to teach courses for Fall semester 2008 and Spring semester 2009. Instructors will teach courses in health education.

Responsibilities of the Position:

  1. Teach assigned class(es). Areas needing coverage include:  consumer health, growth and development, substance use, sexuality education, and emotional health. 
  2. Maintain office hours.
  3. Provide assessment information as needed for relevant courses.

Requirements of Candidate:

  1. The rank of Instructor requires a master's degree in health education or related field. The rank of Lecturer requires a doctorate in health education or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with a completed doctorate.
  2. Must have previous teaching experience and a commitment to high-quality teaching.

Appointment and Salary: This is a term, non-tenure track appointment for 9 months. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
