Description of the Position: Lecturer
positions (variable percent of time) in the Department of Educational Psychology
and Special Education to fill potential vacancies throughout the academic year
2007-2009.
Responsibilities of the Position: Teach courses at the undergraduate or
graduate levels in educational measurement and statistics.
Requirements of Candidates: The rank of Lecturer requires an earned
Doctorate in Educational Measurement and Statistics or related field.
Persons applying for these positions
must demonstrate:
a. a broad background with an emphasis in measurement and statistics;
b. knowledge and experience in the content area;
c. oral proficiency in the English language is required by Illinois state
law.
Preference will be given to individuals with teaching and research/evaluation experiences in basic and inferential statistics applied to education and educational psychology including descriptive techniques and hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, analysis of covariance, correlational analysis, nonparametrics, and linear and nonlinear predictions.
Effective Date of Appointment: Summer 2008 or Fall 2008 or Spring 2009 or
Summer 2009
Appointment and Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications. These
are Non-tenure Track positions and do not lead to tenure.
