Assistant Instructor/Lecturer (25-50%) (Management)
Aviation Management and Flight

The College of Applied Sciences and Arts at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for the following anticipated part-time (25-50%) Assistant Instructor or Lecturer position within ASA's Aviation Management Program during the Fall 2008/Spring 2009 semesters.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required (Master's Degree preferred) in one of the following areas: Aviation Management, Aeronautics, Transportation, Geography, Human Resources, Business, Management, or Education. Minimum two years post-secondary teaching experience and/or related industry experience required.

Responsibilities: To teach one or more of the following courses: Introduction to Aviation Management, Airline Management, Aviation Industry Career Development, Aviation Product Support Management, Aviation Maintenance Management, Aviation Management Writing and Communication, and Aviation Industry Regulations. To maintain appropriate office hours and assist students with program-related matters. Attend department meetings as required. To engage in other assignments as determined by the chair of the department.
