Basic Computer Skills

peopleAdult Education offers classes in basic computer skills.  Classes are for adults who have never touched a computer and for those who want to brush up on or improve their computer knowledge.

Classes are tailored to meet the skill level of each individual and may be delivered as a group or individualized hands-on instruction, supplemented with state of the art computers.

Instructors will assess your computer skills and create a learning environment that will best suit your learning needs.

Objective/Skills Provided:

  • Overall understanding of computer hardware and software,
  • Understanding and navigating around the Microsoft Operating System,
  • Basic understanding and use of Microsoft Office Software, to include:
    • MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Keyboarding / Typing Skills,
  • Information retrieval via the Internet, and
  • Select software programs and basic computer problem solving.

Class Schedule:

  • Monday and Wednesday 9 am - 12 pm and 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
