Mission Statement

Adult Ed Staff

To provide basic educational opportunities and necessary support services for eligible persons which will allow them to reach their highest level of competency, enhance opportunities for employment, meet their obligations as citizens, and improve the quality of life for them and their families.






Adult Education Summer 2012 Hours:

  • General Education Development (GED): Monday and Wednesday, 9 am - 11 am
  • English as a Second Language (ESL): TBA
  • Basic Computer Skills (BCS): TBA
  • Adult Basic Education (ABE) will not be in session until Fall 2012

 

Admissions criteria for ABE, GED, and ESL Classes are as follows:

  • Individuals must be 16 years of age or older,
  • Not be currently enrolled in a public high school or postsecondary institution,
  • Be in need of the GED,
  • Be in need of up-grading basic education for the purpose of attaining or retaining employment, or
  • In need of basic English literacy skills
