Already have web space and need help connecting?
You can connect to the SIUC web servers by using an FTP client such as Filezilla. You can also connect through common WYSIWYG editing software.
Connection Information:
FTP Host name: www.siuc.edu (note: you need to have the "c")
Username: FTP Login/Account ID
Password: Can be retrieved from Memo of Understanding
Web site/Host Directory: /httpdocs/ (Previously "public_html" - no directory needed for websites that kept the tilda (~) )
If you do not know your password please fill fill out this service ticket and your request will be processed as soon as possible.

Connecting to your site from OFF CAMPUS
In order to access your website files from off campus you must be using the VPN client provided by the Information Technology department. You can download the VPN Clients and Profiles, along with instructions, at http://wireless.siu.edu/
If you have problems with the VPN Client please contact the IT Help Desk at 618-453-5155.
Your Account ID:
Some ID's that were too long to use as FTP logins and had to be shortened. You can look up your FTP login by clicking here: siuc.edu/webservices/server/new_url.php
