  • Prepares students interested in training and teaching to apply the best practices in the delivery of training and education instruction that promotes learning.
  • Develop effective training and education curriculum.
  • Supervise and manage training and education personnel.
  • Understand and apply the principles of Human Performance Improvement (HPI) in training and apprenticeship programs.
  • Many graduates of the WED program hold high-level education, training and development positions in corporations, government, community colleges and universities.
  • The Master of Science in Education degree in WED allows students to continue their professional development (HPI).

Delivery:

Our goal is to make the programs as accessible as possible to meet the needs of the Laborer’s Union membership. Some course material may be taught by an instructor at the regional training facility, or via distance learning methods of online or video conference. Some courses will include a blend of face-to-face and distance learning. Given the technology involved, students must have computer access to the Web and possess fundamental computer skills.
