Honoring Women of AchievementOn October 18, 2008, the Southern Illinois University Carbondale's Inspiring Women's Program will hold its fifth annual Inspiring Women's Gala. This prestigious event honors women who have made significant, unique, and lasting contributions in their community or workplace, and have served as role models of achievement for others. Women honored devote themselves tirelessly to their work or the improvement of their communities and the lives of others. |

The 2008 Honorees will be selected by August 1, 2008. Nominations are due by June 30, 2008.
Inspiring Women ScholarshipsThe Inspiring Women's Scholarships recognize academic achievement, leadership and extracurricular involvement and seek to encourage individuals to attain high levels of educational and professional achievement. Click here to view information about the Margaret H. Steele Memorial Scholarships, the Inspiring Women Scholarships, and the "Our Mothers Scholarship". Individuals and corporate friends are encouraged to consider establishing an Inspiring Women's Scholarship endowment.
