Nationally recognized programs deserve first-class facilities,
and plans are on the drawing board for a modern complex
that will serve SIUC’s renowned transportation programs:
aviation management, aviation flight, aviation technologies
and automotive technology, as well as the master’s
in public administration with an aviation administration
concentration. The TEC will include five existing buildings
and four new buildings at the Southern Illinois Airport
between Carbondale and Murphysboro.

Project highlights
include
- New structures encompassing
260,000 square feet.
- Replacement
of outdated facilities and laboratories
as well as crowded learning environments.

space to house $10 million in
equipment purchased by and donated
to the automotive and aviation
programs.

will house classrooms, corporate
facilities and meeting rooms,
computer center, libraries, laboratories,
flight simulator and more.
