New Signage
Highlights
Navigating on campus
should become considerably
easier with the upcoming
addition of scores
of new, visually
coordinated signs.
Some will clearly
identify buildings
and their addresses,
others will serve
as directional aids
for drivers and pedestrians
and a third set will
identify handicapped
accessible, power
assist building entrances.
In addition, obelisk-shaped
markers - designed
to be visible at
least a half-block
away - will be positioned
near the specially
accessible building
entrances, making
it easier for people
with disabilities
to spot.
Visitors and newcomers
will benefit from
four proposed outdoor
information stations
which will be located
along heavily trafficked
campus drives. Maps
and other visitor
information will
be available at the
kiosks, to be conveniently located
in traffic turn-outs
so drivers may pull
over and pick up
maps and brochures.
