Classrooms and auditoriums that were state-of-the-art in
the 1960’s desperately needed upgrades – everything
from furniture to window coverings to lighting, not to
mention the significant advancements in teaching tools
borne of the high-tech era. This modernization effort began
in 2003 with infrastructure, technological, equipment and
aesthetic upgrades to five auditoriums in Lawson Hall and
11 other large auditoriums across campus. Improvements
to the remaining five Lawson Hall auditoriums were completed
in summer 2004. Similar upgrades are continuing in other
classrooms across campus. Improvements will continue on
an annual basis across campus.
