College of Education and Human Services is committed to
quality teaching and research. Through classroom and field
work, faculty and staff prepare human services professionals,
teachers and education leaders. Each year, the college places
400 studentteachers in classrooms throughout Southern Illinois.

We offer bachelor's degrees in civil, computer, electrical,

engineering as well as in electrical

attending the College of Liberal Arts today are tomorrow's
designers, economists, historians and psychologists. You'll
find our graduates working in courtrooms, classrooms, archeological

Our faculty provides students with a solid foundation of media
history while leading the way in traditional and emerging
fields. Students learn how various platforms – print,
cinema, electronic, broadcast and photographic – stand
alone. And they discover how those areas are converging and
