Purpose:

The purpose of the award program is to recognize Civil Service employees who have provided outstanding job performance and service to Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

The screening committee will recommend a nominee to the University Excellence Through Commitment Awards committee for each Civil Service award, who chooses the final recipient to receive the Outstanding Civil Service Awards.

Who is Eligible:

All SIUC Civil Service employees whose reporting lines fall under the Chancellor are eligible for the award. The nominee must have a minimum of five consecutive years of service in a status Civil Service position. Past recipients who have received the award in the past ten years are not eligible. Previous nominations are not carried over automatically, but may be resubmitted.
