Where do I change my address to ensure my W2 is mailed to me? |

Change your LOCAL address at SalukiNet to the address where you want your W2 mailed.

Call Admissions and Records (453-2993) and ask to change your LOCAL address in the Student Information System (SIS) to the address where you want your W2 mailed.

When will my check go directly into my bank account after my initial sign up for Direct Deposit? |
|
The first paycheck after your information is entered into our system is considered a Prenote Check. This check should be picked up at the Student Center on Payday or Miles Hall Room 105 if after payday. The next occurrence of pay will go directly into the bank as long as all of the information from the initial signup is correct and verified by the bank. To inquire about your direct deposit please call the Payroll Office at (618) 453-7954. |

Visit either the Student Employment Services Office (Woody Hall Wing B Room 360) OR the Payroll Office and fill out a Revocation of Direct Deposit Form. |

| If I am signed up for direct deposit for a past job/assignment, do I need to fill out another form for direct deposit if I get a new job? |
Student |
No, if you stated on your Electronic Direct Deposit form for you new job that you already had previous information that you’d like to use. If changing the information, i.e. new bank or account, then yes a new form would need to be filled out with the new information. Filling out a new form will default ALL past and current jobs to the new information. You CANNOT have different checks deposited into different accounts. |

I think I should have been paid for this pay period, but I don’t have a check or my direct deposit hasn’t gone through yet? |

Contact your employing department to make sure that your hours worked were turned into Student Payroll. Have your employing department contact Student Payroll to rectify the problem. |

No. Whenever you need to change your address you should not only visit Admissions and Records and Financial Aid, but also the Payroll department. Visiting the Payroll Office is the best way to be assured that your address is updated and correct in our system. |

We have pocket-sized schedules available at the Payroll Office. You can also long onto http://www.siuc.edu/~payroll. Look under the Schedules Tab for Student Biweekly Schedule. |

Does the University hold the first paycheck?

Student |
No, even if you start in the middle of a pay period, as long as your department turns in your hours to the Payroll office, you will be paid on the corresponding pay date. In the event that your hours are not reported to the Payroll office on time, then it is possible that you will have to wait until the NEXT (two weeks after the original pay date) to receive your paycheck. |

I am leaving town before payday. Can I pick up my check early? |

No. Under no circumstances are paychecks handed out BEFORE the assigned pay date. |
