The purpose of the lecture series is to give University Honors students and the community an opportunity to meet and talk with men and women of pre-eminent character and accomplishment.


CHARLES D.TENNEY DISTINGUISHED
LECTURE SERIES


The Tenney Lecturer this Fall is Robert Thurman, Scholar and Author. His lecture, entitled The Dalai Lama's Ethical Revolution and the World Crisis, will be on Monday, September 15th, 7:30 p.m in Ballroom D, Student Center, with a reception and book signing immediately afterward.

Both the lecture and the reception are free and open to the public.

The Honors students get a special chance to meet Robert Thurman at the Breakfast seminar held on September 16th at 8:00am. You need to stop by at the Honors Office, Faner 3341 and fill your name in the Breakfast sign-up sheet to utilize this opportunity.


MICHAEL & NANCY GLASSMAN
DISTINGUISHED LECTURE SERIES


The Glassman lecturer this Fall is Jim Ellis, Motivational speaker,Swim Coach and Subject of the Film Pride. His lecture, entitled Instilling Pride - One Lap at a Time will be on Tuesday, November 18th, 7:30 p.m at the Student Center Auditorium, with a reception and DVD signing immediately afterward.

Jim Ellis' story is testimony to the power of dreams and their ability to inspire and transform human life. His story is the subject of the film, Pride, starring Terrence Howard.

Both the lecture and the reception are free and open to the public..
