For all required courses listed below no grade lower than C (from SIUC or by transfer at any time from another institution) will be accepted. A course with a lower grade will have to be repeated. A minimum grade of B is required in the 320b language skills course.
All students planning to major in FLIT begin in the pre-major classification (PFLT). Admission to the major may be requested only after overall SIUC GPA is at least 2.75. After admission a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 must be maintained. Students falling below that level will be remanded to PFLT. When the GPA is back to 2.75, students may request reinstatement to the major.
