The MSA in SIUC was the proud host the Midwest Games 2008 to 800 participants which consist of Malaysian students who are studying in USA and Canada.

Selamat Datang! (Welcome).

We are a community of students from a diverse group of races which consist of Malay, Indian, Chinese and many more students international and Americans. We are a group of students who are proud to share our cultures and also get together once a while to get a taste of home which is Malaysia.

We implement some of the basic values which we treasure as living as Malaysian students as we implement “ rumah terbuka” or known as OPEN HOUSE concept. We are very happy to welcome Malaysian students or any students from Southeast Asia to Southern Illinois University.

The Malaysian students are renowned for the cooking, culture, sports and are well networked in campus. We also have ties to other communities such as Filipino, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Laos and many more. We also try our very best to help new students settle down no matter if you are privately funded or sponsored by the Malaysian government.
